STINGER CAGE
Inventory you count out loud. Included with every tier.
One inventory system for two kinds of stock: the liquor behind a bar or venue, and the parts in a job-site yard. Cage counts bottles and pallets the same way. Every count has a name on it, money doesn't move until you confirm, and a shortage shows up the moment you count short.
Live
Overview, on a real business.
Cage's overview shows The Marlin sample inventory inside the Blue Water demo workspace, including stock levels and shortages. Review the stock position before moving into the shelf count or purchase order.
Missing stock
What the shelf denies.
The Marlin sample's missing-stock view lists inventory discrepancies for investigation. Review the count history before resolving a shortage so the stock decision stays attached to the missing item.

A closer look
New in this release
Four features that shipped, each with the screen that proves it.
Barcode scan
Scan an item's barcode to find it, and attach a code to the right item when it does not match yet.
Label print
Print a shelf-label sheet for your items, each label carrying the name, SKU or barcode, and a Code 39 barcode.
Kits
Bundle items into a kit, or bill of materials, and see how many you can build from what is on hand.
Lot and expiry
Track lot numbers and expiry dates on an item, with a badge that flags stock nearing its date.
The problem
Bar inventory tools don't count parts. Parts tools don't count bottles. Cage counts both.
A bar's cage and a crew's yard, in one inventory system
A bar or venue counts liquor on a rail. A job-site crew counts parts in a yard. Cage tracks both (what's on hand, what moved, who last touched it) so you're not running two inventory systems.
Verbal first, camera when it matters
Talk it in: "Tito's four full, six tenths," "twelve trichlor pails." Point the phone camera at a shelf or a slip when it needs to be seen. If the camera isn't sure, it drops the read instead of guessing.
The van and the patio count too
The rail, the patio, the festival van, truck 12, a conex in the yard: each one is a real stock location you walk in the same order, not a leftover pile the system forgets.
Crew on the schedule
A crew screen shows who's on shift, so a handoff or a shift change has a name attached to it, not just a timestamp.
Shrinkage
How does Cage track shrinkage instead of just reporting it?
Missing-stock hunt
Every shortage keeps the last room it was seen in and the last person who counted it. It stays open, found, or written off, never just deleted.
Variance $ that actually moves
Overview shows Variance $ as missing quantity times unit cost, and it moves the moment you count short, not as a static report you check later.
Dead stock, flagged now
What has run out shows up the moment it happens, not at the next physical count.
Variance Timeline
Transfers, comps, waste, missing stock: all on one timeline, all with named people attached.
Receiving & ordering
How does Cage prevent double-counting a delivery?
Photo Receive
Photograph the invoice, confirm the count. If the same slip gets scanned twice, stock doesn't get counted twice.
Price check on receiving
A $0.29-per-unit price on a six-pack invoice is wrong until someone fixes the pack size. Cage flags it instead of posting it to the books.
Suggested orders
The gap below par plus sheet extras, rounded to pack, grouped by vendor. Purchase orders move draft to sent to partial to closed, and receiving against a purchase order cannot over-receive it.
Shift change: exceptions only, not a full recount
Open the floor, close the cage, load out, lock the yard: you touch only what changed, so a shift change doesn't mean a full recount.
What's real vs. what's roadmap
Money doesn't move until you confirm, and the screen is honest about what isn't connected yet.
The confirm step does not bend
Money, receiving, and shift-change release only on a typed or tapped confirm. Annabelle can queue an action; she cannot release one. A stock-counter cannot pretend to be the manager, and cannot change pack size, cost, the books, or orders.
Costs from list price, and it says so
Square sale intake is built and tested and links to the customer's Square account. Until that account is linked, cost figures are worked out from list price, and the screen tells you that plainly. Competitor pricing stays off the customer screen entirely.
Square and Bound: built and tested
Square sale intake and Bound bill retrieval are built and tested; connect your Square account and Bound books to use them. Native iOS/Android apps and a shared login with Command Center are staged next. Money still needs a human confirm when they land; that rule does not get rebuilt weaker.
How it compares
Cage against BinWise, MarketMan, and Sortly.
Every one of these three is built for one vertical (bar, restaurant, or trade), not both. Square sale intake and Bound bill retrieval are built and tested; Cage links to the customer's Square account and Bound books. Cage runs in any browser and installs as an app today; its native iOS and Android builds are scaffolded and not yet on the stores. The single-vertical players already have both.

Competitor figures pulled from each vendor's own pricing/feature pages, 2026-09-03. Cage features drawn from what's live today per this page and the internal capability catalog.
Works with the internet off
Your inventory keeps working if the internet drops.
Every screen you use day to day loads and shows your real data with no outside connection at all. Cage makes zero outbound calls once you are signed in.
In House
How Cage runs inside House.
In House, Cage is Chef's side: the walk-in, the count, the order that waits for Send. Prep follows the guarantee, not the hopeful headcount. House opens from Command Center.
Get started
Start empty, or walk The Marlin first.
Sign in and name your own business (a venue or a yard) and import your spreadsheet. Or load the Stinger demo to see a fully seeded venue and yard before you commit a single real count.
Related: send counted costs straight into Bound for the books, or see Cage inside the full Stinger platform.
On your phone and tablet
Locations, roles and stock moves
Rooms, roles, and stock that moves without going negative.
Locations and roles
Set up locations and rooms with walker, desk and administrator roles; the server limits what each role can change.
Stock transfers
Transfer stock between rooms, and record draws, waste and adjustments; a transfer that would go below zero is refused.
First-expiry-first-out
Stock with lot numbers is drawn oldest-expiry first.
Equipment custody
Check a tool out to a person, job or vehicle and back in, with condition and photos; serialized items need a photo at dispatch.
Receiving and the three-way check
Catching a bad delivery before it posts.
Invoice desk
At the desk, fix a pack size, apply it to the chosen purchase lines, set the category, and mark the invoice reviewed.
Three-way check
Compare what was billed, received, sold, lost and counted, and see shortages, overcounts and billed-but-not-received goods; a missing opening count stays unknown.
Duplicate-safe receiving
Receiving the same delivery twice is blocked, and invoice references and serials are saved.
Buy list export
Export or share the buy list as text. Cage does not place the order with the distributor.
Reports and connections
What's built, and what it needs to connect to.
Stock reports and labels
Print item labels, export CSV, and save a stock report or screen as PDF or image.
Square and Bound
Square sale intake and Bound bill retrieval are built and tested; they work once the customer's Square account and Bound books are linked.
Sortly and inFlow
Bring inventory over from Sortly or inFlow with column mapping and conflict handling once the accounts are connected.
One shared inventory book
Everyone on the team works from one saved inventory book; a save from an out-of-date screen is flagged as a conflict instead of overwriting.
